Glenn Graham's fantasy football picks

The Baltimore Sun

LaDainian Tomlinson, San Diego vs. Cleveland -- Last week, he accounted for 240 total yards and three touchdowns at home against the Rams. For the season, Tomlinson has run for 656 yards and nine touchdowns, caught 35 passes for 303 yards and two more scores, and also has a touchdown pass.

STARTING NOD -- Marc Bulger, St. Louis vs. Kansas City. He has thrown for 300-plus yards in four of his past five games, and more big numbers should come at home against the Chiefs. In seven games this season, he has 1,946 yards and 12 touchdowns with just one interception.

OTHER SOLID OPTIONS -- Michael Vick, Atlanta at Detroit; Eli Manning, New York Giants vs. Houston; Peyton Manning, Indianapolis at New England.

TAKE A SEAT -- Jake Plummer, Denver at Pittsburgh; David Carr, Houston at New York Giants; Charlie Frye, Cleveland at San Diego.

STARTING NOD -- Larry Johnson, Kansas City at St. Louis. Is Johnson ready to take over fantasy leagues as he did late last season? If last week's line - 181 total yards, four touchdowns - is any indication, look out. Johnson has 644 rushing yards and 27 catches for 329 yards and 10 total touchdowns.

OTHER SOLID OPTIONS -- Willie Parker, Pittsburgh vs. Denver; Steven Jackson, St. Louis vs. Kansas City; Thomas Jones, Chicago vs. Miami.

TAKE A SEAT -- Rudi Johnson, Cincinnati at Ravens; Ronnie Brown, Miami at Chicago; Travis Henry, Tennessee at Jacksonville.

STARTING NOD -- Terrell Owens, Dallas at Washington. All is well with Owens, who likes his new quarterback, Tony Romo. Coming off the nine-catch, 107-yard performance against Carolina, look for similar numbers against a struggling Redskins defense that is 30th against the pass.

OTHER SOLID OPTIONS -- Torry Holt, St. Louis vs. Kansas City; Roy Williams, Detroit vs. Atlanta; Plaxico Burress, New York Giants vs. Houston.

TAKE A SEAT -- Randy Moss, Oakland at Seattle; Hines Ward, Pittsburgh vs. Denver; Chris Chambers, Miami at Chicago.

STARTING NOD -- Jeremy Shockey, New York Giants vs. Houston. The veteran has 23 catches for 240 yards and four touchdowns. But, he could have a big game Sunday with Houston's 28th-ranked defense visiting the Meadowlands.

OTHER SOLID OPTIONS -- Antonio Gates, San Diego vs. Cleveland; Todd Heap, Ravens vs. Cincinnati; Alge Crumpler, Atlanta at Detroit.

TAKE A SEAT -- Dallas Clark, Indianapolis at New England; Heath Miller, Pittsburgh vs. Denver; Randy McMichael, Miami at Chicago.

STARTING NOD -- Nate Kaeding, San Diego vs. Cleveland. Kaeding leads AFC kickers with 72 points, and the Chargers host the Browns, which should add up to more big numbers for San Diego.

STARTING NOD -- New York Giants vs. Houston. Texans quarterback David Carr has been named the starter for Sunday after being replaced in the second half of last week's loss at Tennessee. He's probably better off staying on the bench against a Giants defense that will provide plenty of heat.

Last week's tab

Play of the week -- Andre Johnson, Houston: nine catches, 78 yards, one TD.

Quarterback -- Carson Palmer, Cincinnati: 24-for-36, 266 yards, two TDs.

Running back -- Tiki Barber, New York Giants: 68 rushing yards; three catches, 20 yards.

Wide receiver -- Donald Driver, Green Bay: five catches, 48 yards.

Tight end -- Tony Gonzalez, Kansas City: six catches, 116 yards.

Kicker -- Jay Feely, New York Giants: one FG, two PATs .

Defense -- Chicago: four fumbles, one interception, one sack.
