BAA Maryland, developer and manager of the Airmall at Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, will hold a job fair for residents in the region from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Community Room at Arundel Mills mall.
More than 75 positions at concessions, including retailers and eating establishments, are available.
BAA Maryland is developing and managing a new retail program at the airport. The two-year project, which includes about 140,000 square feet of new and refurbished concession space, began in May 2005 with the opening of the new Terminal A/B.

Aviation art group plans its 21st forum
Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport will be the venue for the American Society of Aviation Artists' 21st annual forum and an associated International Aerospace Art Exhibit, to be held May 7-12.
The weeklong event will include educational seminars, tours of the airport, artists working on-site, a grand opening of the society's display in the BWI International Terminal and the society's awards dinner.
Hosts for the forum and exhibition will be the Maryland Aviation Administration, BWI Development Council and the Baltimore/Washington Corridor Chamber of Commerce.
Strategic planning to be topic Tuesday
The Baltimore/Washington Chamber of Commerce Business Tools Group will offer an interactive facilitated presentation, "Turning Strategy Into Action," by Jonathan Weinstein of Line of Sight LLC, who will present five key steps to develop and implement a strategic plan.
The event will be held from 8:15 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at chamber offices, 312 Marshall Ave., Suite 104, Laurel.
The cost is $10 prepaid for members; $20 for members at the door and nonmembers.
The chamber's 15th Baltimore/Washington Area Government Procurement Fair will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Oct. 27.

Government contracting -- The Howard County Economic Development Authority will offer a seminar for businesses considering competing in the federal market or those in the early phases of entry, "Government Contracting Resources," from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today at the Center for Business and Technology, 9250 Bendix Road North, Columbia. Health care plan -- The Baltimore/Washington Corridor Chamber of Commerce and the Maryland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce are offering a limited health care plan to members. The plan, which does not require employer contributions or minimum employee participation, includes access to health care providers in Alliance PPO, a Mamsi/UnitedHealth company. Energy -- The Columbia-based Restaurant Association of Maryland is holding open enrollment for the Mid-Atlantic Aggregation Group Independent Consortium, an energy group of retailers and others, of which the association is a member. The consortium's goal is to offer power to commercial participants at a fixed rate that is lower than that of the local utility. The program offers long-term fixed pricing for up to five years, a price-reduction clause should energy rates decrease, the right to assign the contract should a business be sold, no historical-bandwidth usage requirement (the price is fixed) and elimination of additional charges in high-demand summer months. Agriculture -- The Agricultural Marketing Program of the Howard County Economic Development Authority has released its 2006 edition of the Howard County Farms & Services Guide, a resource for consumers interested in buying directly from farmers or farmers' markets. Listings include icons for each farm that provide a quick view of the products offered, including produce, farm products, agri-tourism, educational experiences, horse stabling and others.
