KANSAS CITY, MO. -- Rodrigo Lopez took the mound last night, knowing that he could be making his last start as an Oriole. For the most part, he was able to ignore that possibility even though his name seems to be linked to another team on a daily basis.
In his last start before the trade deadline, Lopez hardly wowed a small group of scouts sitting behind home plate last night. What he did do was the only thing that he said mattered. He pitched well enough to put the Orioles in a position to win, which they did, 6-4 over the Kansas City Royals in front of 11,418 at Kauffman Stadium.
