Shooting/arrest -- A man being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center in Towson on an unrelated charge was served with an arrest warrant yesterday by members of the Regional Warrant Apprehension Task Force on a charge of attempted murder. Adrian Griffin, 27, of the 3900 block of Duvall Ave., is accused of shooting Brandon Mercer, 24, in the 3400 block of Garrison Blvd. on June 4.
Assault -- A 19-year-old told police Wednesday that he was standing on the front porch of his home in the 3800 block of Beehler Ave. on Sunday night when he was attacked by another man who struck him in the face several times with a pair of brass knuckles.
Arrest -- Lewis Scott, 25, was arrested yesterday at his home in the 2700 block of Parkwood Ave. on a warrant charging him with attempted murder. Scott is charged with shooting Kevin Forrest, 24, in the first block of N. Eutaw St. on June 24.
Robbery -- A 43-year-old man had stopped for a traffic light in the 1800 block of W. North Ave. about 2 a.m. Wednesday when a gunman forced him off a green 2003 Yamaha motorized scooter in the 1800 block of W. North Ave. and rode away.
Stolen vehicle -- A blue 2000 Dodge Intrepid with tags 4AZ P42 was stolen Wednesday in the 1600 block of W. North Ave.
Shooting -- Several people were standing in the 3900 block of Eighth St. about midnight Wednesday when a male occupant of a passing sport utility vehicle fired shots into the group, wounding a 20-year-old woman once in the lower left back. The victim was reported in critical condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center. It was not known whether she was the intended target.
