ILVA TINGLE BATTAGLIA HUGHES, 88, of Reedville, VA, and formerly of Baltimore, Md., died Tuesday, June 27, 2006. She was the daughter of the late Thomas E. and Martha C. French Tingle and the widow of Dr. Dominic T. Battaglia, M.D. and Mr. George H. Hughes. She was a retired registered nurse. She was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Battaglia and is survived by her daughter Sue Madej of Mila, two sons, Tom Battaglia and John Battaglia of Sunny Bank; 15 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, June 30 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 154 East Church Street in Kilmarnock, Va. Interment will be in The Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Baltimore, Md. on Saturday, July 1, at 1:00 p.m. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 29, at the Currie Funeral Home, 116 East Church Street, Kilmarnock, Va.
