After-hours center appoints Dr. Kingry

Dr. Karen Kingry, a Howard County resident, has been appointed medical director of the new after-hours medical center, Nighttime Pediatrics and adult care too! - Columbia.

She recently was medical director of pediatrics programs and chair of pediatrics at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, where she developed a combined emergency room and inpatient unit serving children in Montgomery County. She also practiced with the Patuxent Medical Group and as pediatrics hospitalist, associate medical director and co-founder of the Pediatric Care Center at Howard County General Hospital.

The after-hours medical center is due to open next month on the campus of Lorien Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Columbia.

Columbia Bank promotes Kinloch

Bill Kinloch has been promoted to assistance vice president, branch manager at Columbia Bank.

Formerly branch manager at the bank, Kinloch oversees day-to-day operations for the bank's Wilde Lake Village Center branch in Columbia. He will continue to manage tellers and customer service representatives, develop new business opportunities in Howard County and integrate the bank into programs that benefit the community.

The promotion recognizes his success during his tenure with the bank. Kinloch joined the bank in 2001, after earning a degree in economics from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
