Work is complete at Thomas Run

Lambdin Development Co. recently completed construction of Thomas Run Station, near Harford Community College on Churchville Road in Bel Air.

The opening of the second retail building at the site was the final phase of the project. The tenant businesses at Thomas Run are DollarMax, Marine Dreams, La Garderie Child Care Center, Game Day Sports, Maryland School of Ballet and Modern Dance and Pilates Center, and the Cup.

Home renovated for two Arc clients

Buzzy Hess, team leader for Harford Habitat for Humanity, recently worked with volunteers from the community and The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region to renovate a home in Aberdeen for two people who receive services from The Arc.

The renovation of the Aberdeen home is part of the Arc Project, a new initiative to enhance homes owned by The Arc and to create more accessible housing for its clients.

Volunteers are welcome for the Arc Project.

Credit union names board of directors

Aberdeen Proving Ground Federal Credit Union has named its 2006 board of directors.

The membership elected David Gilbert, chairman; John Blomquist, vice chairman; Dwight Hair, treasurer; Sarah Standiford, secretary; and Roger Brown, assistant treasurer.

Board members are Charles Alston, Barry Decker, Samuel Gilliam, Windsor Jones, Nancy Kosko and Joseph Traino III.

The board of directors oversees all aspects of the credit union's operations, and facilitates its mission to build strong families for a stronger community.
