Just like old times

THE BALTIMORE SUN

Camp Flintlock, at Historic London Town & Gardens, offers children a chance to go back to the Colonial era, experiencing crafts, chores and other activities typical of an 18th-century family. 2. Youngsters in the Colonial Kids Summer Programs chop wood, cook over an open fire, play Colonial games and learn about the history of that era. The first weeklong session started Monday, and the second one will begin next Monday. Historic London Town & Gardens is a 23-acre park on the South River in Edgewater, owned by Anne Arundel County and managed by a nonprofit foundation. The Colonial Kids program is also offered at locations in St. Mary's City and in Fredericksburg, Va., and Four Oaks, N.C.
