Capital Gazette wins special Pulitzer Prize citation for coverage of newsroom shooting that killed five

Dorman C. Osborne, 45, contractor

Dorman C. Osborne, a home improvement contractor, died Wednesday at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center after suffering cardiac arrest. He was 45.

Mr. Osborne was born in Baltimore and was a longtime Dundalk resident.

He graduated from Patapsco High School in 1978.

As a youngster, he began working in homebuilding with his father, Charles H. Osborne, who had established Dundalk Construction Co. in the late 1960s.

After his father's death in 2003, Mr. Osborne continued working as an independent home improvement contractor with several local builders.

Mr. Osborne enjoyed boating and playing his guitar.

Services are private.

He is survived by a sister, Charlene E. Osborne of Dundalk; and several uncles, aunts and cousins.
