Capital Gazette wins special Pulitzer Prize citation for coverage of newsroom shooting that killed five



On Saturday June 17, 2006, ALICE SCHAFER WEBER, age 74, of 2318 Aronimink Circle, Fayetteville, PA, died in Chambersburg Hospital. Born July 2, 1921, in Cumberland, MD, she was a registered nurse at the Ridge School in Towson, MD for 22 years. A former member of Faith Presbyterian Church in Baltimore, she was later a member of Central Presbyterian Church in Chambersburg. Her passions were nursing, Bridge, the outdoors, and especially her family. She is survived by her husband of almost 53 years, Donald H. Weber; her four children, Mamie Weber Gaver, Sally Weber Ribera, Edward Weber and Lynn Weber, and her two beloved grandsons, Jared and Keith Gaver. She was preceded in death by a brother, Colonel David F. Schafer. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 20, 2006, in Central Presbyterian Church, Chambersburg, PA, followed by a reception at the church.
