On June 10, 2006, CHARLES CARROLL CONNOLLY, JR. passed away on a farm in Queen Anne where he resided with his wife, Edith, for 65 years. He was born on February 3, 1917 in Queen Anne, Maryland. He is survived by his wife, Edith Connolly, whom he married on September 12, 1940 in Ridgely, MD; parents, Charles Carroll Connolly, Sr. and Anna Slaughter Connolly; children, Marianne Mc Ginty, Linda Fenton, Charlene Quinn and Charles Connolly III; brothers and sisters, Fred Connolly, Paul Connolly, Clinton Connolly, Rita Eyring, Phil Connolly and the late Frank Connolly; five grandchildren, John Mc Ginty, Tom Fenton, Daniel Quinn, Katherine Quinn and Keegan Connolly; two great-grandchildren, Zachary Mc Ginty and Nicholas Mc Ginty. Mr. Connolly, Jr. was a proud farmer. He graduated from Tri County High School in Queen Anne, MD in 1936. He was a member of the Elks Club of Easton, MD and the Talbot County Farm Bureau. He was also affiliated with Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Easton, MD. A Christian Wake will be held at Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, 200 S. Harrison Street, Easton, MD (410-822-3131) on Tuesday, June 13, 2006 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Christopher's Catholic Church in Chester, MD on Wednesday, June 14 at 10:00 A.M. Interment to immediately follow at Spring Hill Cemetery in Easton, MD. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Shore Home Care Hospice and/or Talbot Hospice Foundation.
