Jazz Ensemble's spring concert

The Carroll County Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Glenn W. Patterson, will present its second annual spring concert, "Sentimental Journey 2006," at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Winters Mill High School auditorium, 560 Gorsuch Road.

Featured musicians include Herb Sell, piano; Brad Collins, vocals and tenor saxophone; Gil Rathel, trumpet; David Motter, trombone; Jeff Boone, alto and soprano saxophone; Charles Berry, trumpet; Erik True, drums; Jeff Hiner, bass; and Debbie Blanchard and Glenn Patterson, vocals.

The program will include the hits of Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Les Brown, Buddy Rich, Benny Goodman, Count Basie, along with songs made popular by Dean Martin, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald.

Proceeds benefit Access Carroll Inc., a health clinic for uninsured adults in Carroll County.

Tickets are $10 for adults in advance and $15 at the door; student tickets are $7 in advance and $10 at the door, available at Stu's Music, Coffey Music, Hess Music and the Carroll County Arts Council.
