Kevin Turek

John Carroll

The senior established four meet records at the Patriot Invitational, capturing the 100 in 11.4 seconds, the 110 high hurdles in 16.0, the 300 intermediate hurdles in 42.3 and the high jump with a height of 6 feet. Turek's forte was the high jump, and he capped an undefeated season in the event by clearing 6 feet, 8 inches at the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association championships.

Turek, who placed third in the 300 intermediate hurdles at the MIAA championships, posted his best mark in the high jump during a league meet with Park and Beth Tfiloh on April 26 when he cleared 6-9. Turek also won a decathlon sponsored by the MIAA last month.

Kyle Yoder

Graduation seemed to hit many of the county programs hard, leaving a vacuum for the Upper Chesapeake Bay Athletic Conference title. C. Milton Wright was the reigning champion, and other programs like Bel Air and Edgewood were emerging.

But it was Yoder who instilled in the Cougars a sense of confidence and the belief that they were the best team to grab the crown. Fallston proved its coach right by taking home the school's first UCBAC title and placing third at the Class 3A East regional meet.
