YOUTH COMMISSION -- The Baltimore City Youth Commission will hold an informational hearing on the city's rising juvenile homicide rate at 5 p.m. in the Curran Conference Room on the fourth floor of City Hall, 100 N. Holliday St.
FRIDAY
POLISH FESTIVAL -- Baltimore's annual Showcase of Nations series of ethnic festivals will begin with the Polish Festival from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Patterson Park, Linwood and Eastern avenues. CHARLES VILLAGE FESTIVAL -- The annual Charles Village Festival parade will begin at 10 a.m. at 25th and St. Paul streets. It will proceed on St. Paul to 33rd Street, then south on Charles Street to 29th Street. FISHING DERBY -- Piney Run Park will hold the Governor's Youth Fishing Derby from 6 a.m. to noon at the park, 30 Martz Road, near Eldersburg.
