No. 6 Navy (11-3) @No. 5 Georgetown (11-2)
Time -- 3:30 p.m.
Site -- Multi-Sport Field, Georgetown University campus
Outlook -- The Midshipmen have lost twice in a row to the Hoyas in Annapolis. Maybe a road trip to break the hex isn't a bad idea. Georgetown, which has beaten Navy in four of the previous five meetings, depends heavily on the passing of sophomore attackman Brendan Cannon (28 assists). Defensively, fifth-year senior Rich D'Andrea has given Georgetown a spark after leaving his defensive midfield position to start in four games in place of injured goalie Miles Kass. Navy has an advantage with faceoff man William Wallace, but if junior attackman Ian Dingman (team-high 30 goals) doesn't have a big game, the Mids could miss a third straight trip to the quarterfinals. Navy senior midfielder Steve Looney could return after missing several weeks with a broken collarbone. The winner of this game will face top-seeded Virginia in the next round.
