JEFFREY C. RIACH, 81, of West Hartford, CT died Wednesday, May 3, 2006 at Brittany Farms Health Center in New Britain, CT. He was the husband of the late Dorothy "Dodie" (Glass) Riach, his wife of 49 years, and a longtime resident of New York and New Jersey. Born in Montreal, Quebec on November 11, 1924, the son of the late David and Ethel (Jeffreys) Riach, he served with the Canadian Air Force during World War II. He earned a Doctorate of Law from Fordham University and enjoyed a career as a comptroller with Allied Chemical and its successor, The Honeywell Corporation, retiring in 1983 after 34 years. Mr. Riach loved kayaking and camping. He is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Berlin and her husband, Paul, of West Hartford, CT; a son, Jeffrey Riach and his wife, Linda, of Cockeysville, MD; his sister, Sheelagh Cutler; three granddaughters, Alissa, Kate, and Michelle; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, David Riach. Funeral services are private at the family's request.
