On April 6, 2006, HELEN SRAMEKHUDERT, 86, of Richmond, formerly of Baltimore, MD. She was the widow of J. Anthony Hudert Sr. to whom she was married for 53 years until his death in 1992. She is survived by 11 children, Joseph A. Hudert Jr., Regina H. Corcoran (Dick), Sr. Claire "Elaine" Hudert, O.S.B., Carl A. Hudert (Rebecca), Anthony W. Hudert (Cynthia), Elizabeth A. Lord Watkins (Tom), Marianne D. Coulter (Rob), Linda D. H. Spach-Korepta, Cathleen M. Shutt (Mike), Christopher A. Hudert (Peggy), and David P. Hudert (Caroline); daughter-in-law, Virginia N. Hudert; sister, Mildred S. Pretl; sister-in-law, Anna Mueller; 28 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hudert was a member of St. Benedict's Catholic Church for over 50 years, Catholic Golden Age, Cursillo, Right to Life, Holy Rosary Society, K-Cettes and the Carillon Civic Association. Although she chaired various positions, in these and other groups, her primary focus was wife, mother, and homemaker. Her remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Homes' Central Chapel, 3801 Augusta Ave., Richmond, VA., where the family will receive friends 4 to 9 P.M. Sunday, and where a rosary service will be held 5 P.M. Sunday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12 noon Monday at St. Benedict's Catholic Church, Richmond, VA. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Richmond, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Richmond Children's Hospital, Shriner's Children's Hospital, St. Jude's Hospital, Bon Secours Hospice or to a charity of your choice.
