William Anthony Pinder Sr., a retired Baltimore Gas and Electric Co. lineman, died of complications from an infection March 11 at Franklin Woods Center in White Marsh. The former Hamilton resident was 90.
Mr. Pinder was born and raised in Queenstown and attended Queen Anne's County public schools. He worked as a lineman for BGE for 40 years until retiring in 1978.
After retiring, he moved to Grasonville, where he enjoyed fishing and crabbing. He also was an avid Orioles fan and liked watching prizefights.
He was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, where a funeral Mass was offered Wednesday.
Surviving are his wife of 72 years, the former Evelyn Schuebel; two sons, William A. Pinder Jr. of Selbyville, Del., and Charles Pinder of Fullerton; two daughters, Margaret D. Mauler of Grasonville and Betty Mae Holthaus of Fullerton; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
