BEE L. (BIGGS) TURNER, 89, of Sarasota, FL., died Feb. 20, 2006. She was born Feb. 26, 1916 in Baltimore, MD. She was a secretary at Johns Hopkins University before moving to Winter Park, Fl., with her late husband, Tom Turner. They moved to Bradenton, FL in 1972, where Bee was active in the Island Players Theater. After Tom's death in 1995, Bee moved to Sarasota and volunteered as an usher for the Sarasota Opera and the Asolo Theater and as a literacy teacher. Survivors include her sisters, Ella Mae Kirby of Baltimore and Mildred Cress of Lodi, California, several nieces and nephews A memorial gather will be held at the Island Players Theater, 10009 Gulf Driva, Anna Maria, Florida, on April 2, from 5 to 7 P.M. hared memories.
