Man suspected in 2 shootings in Harford County
A 21-year-old suspected gang member has been arrested in one Harford County shooting and is being investigated in another, according to the county sheriff's office.
Jonathan Felix Knight of Edgewood is being held without bond at the Harford County Detention Center. He is scheduled for a bail review today.
Knight, a suspected member of the Bloods gang, is charged with 21 counts, including attempted first-degree murder, in a Feb. 11 incident in Edgewood, said Robert B. Thomas, a spokesman for the sheriff's office.
Knight and another man, whom authorities have not identified, approached two people in the Windsor Valley Community and tried to rob them at gunpoint, Thomas said.
As the victims fled, someone fired shots, including one that pierced the second-floor bedroom of a home on Candlewood Drive, grazing the right arm of a man inside. Thomas said Knight is believed to be the shooter.
Earlier the evening of Feb. 11, a 17-year-old was shot in the left wrist at a convenience store on Hanson Road near the Windsor Valley neighborhood. The teenage victim also is a suspected member of the Bloods, Thomas said.
"We believe there is a definite connection in the shootings," Thomas said, adding that the sheriff's office is still investigating.
