On February 15, 2006, MRS. PEARL TUCKER ANDERSON at her home in Columbia, MD. The adored daughter of the late Mr. George and Mrs. Norena Tucker, the widow of the late Mr. Harry N. Anderson, Jr., the loving mother of Bishop L. Robinson, Jr., Esquire, the mother-in-law of Mrs. Rosalind F. Robinson. The caring grandmother of Mr. Bishop L. Robinson III and Mrs. Lauren A. Robinson-Fleming and her husband Wayne Fleming. The dear great-grandmother of Wayne Bishop Fleming. Mrs. Anderson is survived by her best friend and her only sibling, Mrs. Jennie Tucker Johnson; two dear aunts, Miss Jeanette Morton and Mrs. Pansy Garrett both of Baltimore; uncle-in-law Mr. George Cooper of Baltimore; one cherished nephew Mr. George A. Brown (Verna) of Chadbourn, North Carolina; two successive generations of nieces and nephews; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Hallie Anderson Daniels of Rocky Mount, North Carolina; 16 first cousins including a loyal first cousin Mr. Johnson L. Garrett, Jr. of Baltimore; and other cousins, in-laws and friends. Her generous and longtime memberships in the congregation of Unity United Methodist Church, in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and in the Coppin State College Alumni Association were meaningful expressions of her love for and concern of each organization's mission. Her tenure in the Baltimore City School System touched the hearts and development of many students. She retired in 1977 as a Master Elementary School Teacher who was an expert in teaching reading and writing. More than anything, she will be remembered for her kindness, generosity and down home charm by all those who were part of her life. At her request, Mrs. Anderson's remains were donated to science. An announcement will be made at a later date for a gathering of family and friends with tributes and reflections.
