The Senate Education, Health and Environmental Affairs Committee holds a hearing on legislation (SB 297) that would permit pharmacists who receive a special license to dispense emergency contraception without a prescription, under guidelines set by the state health department. The hearing begins at 1 p.m.

The House Environmental Matters Committee holds a hearing on a bill (HB 496) that would require operators of motor scooters and mopeds to wear a helmet. The hearing begins at 1 p.m.
