The skinny on local clubs

The Waterfront Hotel

Go to this Fells Point restaurant, bar and lounge for food, drinks, loud live music and relaxation. If you're barhopping, this could be your first or last stop, depending on what you want.

Where --1710 Thames St.

Notable --The food is a couple notches (and dollars) above normal pub fare, and the bartenders are super friendly and efficient. Beers come quickly and the place stays clean.

Vibe --Depends on where you are. Bands set up downstairs by the front door and blast the bar area. You could catch dinner, a couple of beers and live tunes before leaving for a night out. There's a radically different atmosphere upstairs in the chilled out lounge, which is prime for a late-night kick back.

What to wear --Toss on jeans and a nice shirt and you'll mesh well into your surroundings. T-shirts aren't out of place either in the summertime.

Crowd --Local music fans, yuppies, Fells Point revitalizers and the occasional older couple.

Music --Coming concerts include Ed and Frank, Feinwood, J.E.T.T., Captain Jack, Loose Caboose and Lawnchair.
