Live Baltimore to hold seminar on real estate market

Consumers can get tips on Baltimore's real estate market at a seminar this week by the Live Baltimore Home Center, which promotes city living.

The free event is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Roland Park Country School, 5204 Roland Ave.

Those who attend will be able to talk with real estate agents, mortgage brokers and other homebuying experts.

Up to 50 people may receive a $100 certificate toward title work from the Fountainhead Title Group by attending the event.

Seminars will be offered from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. in 30-minute sessions on virtual tours; applying for a mortgage; renovating a home in the city and how to afford it; Baltimore homeownership incentive programs; and understanding how a buyer's agent works for you.

Live Baltimore and city officials have scheduled their semiannual Buying Into Baltimore fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 17 at City College, 3220 The Alameda.

The fair will include tours, views of sample homes for sale and a preview of home listings.
