On Sunday, August 14, 2005, MERVIN L. RUTH, 95 of Baltimore, died at 4 P.M., at his home. He was the husband of Cecelia (Hoover) Ruth to whom he married 48 years ago on October 6, 1956. He was the son of the late Harvey and Naomi (Simpson) Ruth. He was employed by Falkner Printing Co. in Maryland for over 21 years before retiring in 1972. Previously he was employed by Maple Press Co. in York. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose in York, Pa.; Life member of Gray Manner V.F.W. on North Point Road and a member of Starview U.C.C. in Mt. Wolf, Pa. He served in the United States Army during WWII. In addition to his wife Cecelia, Mr. Ruth is survived by nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, August 18, 2005 at Starview UCC 4832 N. Sherman St., Mt. Wolf, PA. Viewings will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at Duda-Ruck Funeral Home 7922 Wise Ave. Dundalk, MD and from 10 to 11 a.m Thursday at Starview UCC. Burial will be in Hoover's Cemetery in Mt. Wolf, PA. Officiating at the service will be his former pastor the Rev. Richard Barley. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc. Mt. Wolf, Pa. Full Military Honors will be performed by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.
