On Friday, August 12, 2005, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton, OH, following an extended illness, EVELYN P. DUVALL, 83, of Brookville, OH. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert J. Duvall, in 2004 and by her parents, Donald and Dereca (Mc Clure) Preston. She was born and raised in Louisa, KY and graduated from Eastern Kentucky University, where she met and later married Robert. She resided in Catonsville, MD for 20 years, where she was involved with Girl Scouts and the Garden Club. She owned and operated The Flower Arranger's Shop and was certified as an Ikebana teacher. She retired with her husband to the area around Stamping Ground, KY and later moved to Brookville, OH. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, David and Marilyn Duvall, Brookville; daughter, Susan Duvall, Ocala, FL; grandchildren, Sara and Katy Ruder, both of Ocala, Jason Duvall, Ann Arbor, MI, Anna Duvall, Chicago and Matthew Duvall, Brookville; brother, Howard Preston and wife Alma, Louisa, KY; sister, Marian Schroedl and husband Bob Steele, Seattle, WA and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 8 P.M., EDT, Monday, August 15 at the GILBERT-FELLERS FUNERAL HOME, 950 ALBERT ROAD, BROOKVILLE, with Pastor Michael Pratt officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home 6 to 8 P.M. Monday. Committal services will be held in Frankfort, KY at a later date.
