ARTHUR NEWTH MORRIS, JR., 78, of South Atlantic Avenue, Ormond Beach, FL., died Monday, August 8, 2005 at his residence. Mr. Morris, an avid toy train collector and US Navy Veteran, was born in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania on May 19, 1927 to Irene (Lamb) and Arthur N. Morris, Sr., moving to this area in 1990 from Severna Park, Maryland. Mr. Morris attended Severn School, Severna Park, Maryland, Randolph-Macon Academy, Front Royal, Virginia where he was active in track and football. He graduated from Stetson University, De Land, Florida, class of 1951. A member of St. James Episcopal Church, Ormond Beach, he was the sales representative for the Rock-City Box Company, Norcross, Georgia, Wilkata Folding Carton Company, Kearny, New Jersey, Weyerhauser Company, Atlanta, Georgia, Old Dominion Box Company, Lynchburg, Virginia, Oak Folding Box, Elon College, North Carolina and retired after owning for 20 years the Dixie Printing and Packaging, Inc., Glen Burnie, Maryland where he began the modernization of the company that is now being operated by his son. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Kathryn Tassie Morris; two sons, A. Newth Morris, III, Severna Park, Maryland; Michael N. Morris, Montrose, West Virginia; Daughter, Annie Morris, Madrid, Spain; three sisters, Virginia Snoddy, Davidson, North Carolina, Lou Brown Jewell, Daytona Beach, Florida; Edna Foster, Highlands, North Carolina; six grandchildren, A. Newth Morris, IV, Edward N. Morris, Andrea S. Morris, Luis Uguet de Resayre, Sergio Uguet de Resayre, and Eric Uguet de Resayre. Funeral Service will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at St. James Episcopal Church, 44 S. Halifax Drive, Ormond Beach with Fr. Stephen B. Morris, rector officiating. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Ormond Beach.
