Harford County Farm Fair
If you're even a little bit country, you'll want to visit this year's Harford County Farm Fair. It's the 18th year for the old-fashioned fair, which takes place today through Sunday at the Harford County Equestrian Center in Bel Air. Visitors can see 4-H and FFA exhibits, livestock judging, pig races, craft displays, tractor pulls and more. There will also be kids' games and activities, a watermelon-eating contest, pie-eating contest, fireworks, live music from country singers Billy Dean and Craig Morgan, tunes from local bands and musicians, a dog-agility contest, car show, bicycle rodeo and more.
The Harford County Farm Fair runs 10 a.m.-10 p.m. today, tomorrow and Saturday and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday at the Equestrian Center, 608 N. Tollgate Road, Bel Air. Carroll County Fair
Admit it. You're coming to the Carroll County 4-H and FFA Fair, which runs tomorrow evening through Aug. 5 at the Carroll County Agricultural Center in Westminster, for the Monster Truck Extravaganza. Sure, you're looking forward to seeing country star Andy Griggs perform tomorrow. And yes, the mule pull Sunday will be exciting. And you're interested in seeing the breeding swine show, the wool exhibits, the mini horse show, the children's pedal pull, the mule jumping contest, performances by the Carroll County 4-H clubs and more. And, of course, you're looking forward to the fair food, the kids' activities, the auctions, raffles and more. But what you're really coming for is the Monster Truck Extravaganza on Aug. 5.

Train and toy show
All aboard! Greenberg's Train, Toy and Hobby Show is rolling into town this weekend. The show kicks off Saturday and runs through Sunday at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium. With a marketplace of items from train, toy and hobby dealers, operating model railroads, instructional train demonstrations, kids' activities and more, the event has something for all ages of hobbyists. The show takes over more than 30,000 square feet at the fairgrounds. Visitors can also see an array of collectible toys, win door prizes and more.
