On June 26, 2005, GLADYS MOGCK BROWN, composer of the official Calvert County Song, died after a long illness. She was 91. Born May 21, 1914 in Baltimore, MD to Frederick and Frances Mogck. Ms. Brown was a resident of Larkspur, CA and Huntingtown, MD. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, Edward Hamme Brown and sisters Elizabeth Bowen and Virginia May Lyons. Ms. Brown is survived by stepdaughter Barbara Roth of Carmichael, CA. Sister Eleanor James and niece Susan Henson of Woodbine, MD and nephews Frederick Bowen of Millersville, MD and Gordon Bowen of Huntingtown, MD. She will be fondly remembered by cousin Benjamin May and his wife Betty Cochran May of Prince Frederick, MD. Services and Interment private. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements by Rausch Funeral Home, Owings, MD.
