On Friday June 24, 2005, MARYELIZABETH "Betty" FORD, 78, of Bonita Springs, FL, passed away at her residence. Betty had been a resident of Bonita Springs since 1981, coming from Pepper Pike, OH. Betty received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Seton Hill College in Greensburg, PA. She was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church, Spanish Wells Country Club, a Past President of the Spanish Wells Ladies Golf Association and a former member of the Women's Business Advisory Council, at the University of Notre Dame. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, John T. "Jack" Ford, Jr., of Bonita Springs, FL; one son, John T. Ford III and his fiancee Cynthia Evans, of Ellicott City, MD; three daughters, Ann Ford Weadock and her husband, Thomas B., of Ruxton, MD, Margaret Ford Harrington and her husband, MArk A. of Potomac Falls, VA., and Libby Ford and her companion, Pamela Barrale of Rochester, NY; sister, Patricia Breslin of Geneva, NY; 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. and Mrs. James P. Gleeson of FT. Worth, TX and a sister, Jane Kelly. The family will receive friends Monday, June 27, 2005 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Walter Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home. Catholic Scripture services will be held at 7:30 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Leo Catholic Church. Inurnment will be in St. John the Evangelist Memorial Garden.
