BENJAMIN THOMAS HUXTABLE, four years old, of Glen Arm, MD, passed away in a tragic accident on Sunday, June 19, 2005. Benjamin was struck in the chest by an errant baseball while attending his Father's Over Thirty baseball game. Born on October 25, 2000 in Wilmington, DE, he was an avid baseball fan and player. Ben played in the Carroll Manor Recreation League and was a student at Chestnut Grove Preschool in Phoenix. He along with his mother and brother were active participants in the MOMS Club of Parkton and with his family attended Gunpowder Friends Meeting in Sparks. He brought enormous joy and spirit to all who knew him in his short life. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2005 at 2 P.M. at Stoney Run Friends Meeting, on the campus of Friends School of Baltimore on N. Charles Street. To provide for others the joy that baseball brought him, the family request in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the "Ben's Ball Field" Fund, c/o Harford Friends School, 1212 Main Street, P.O. Box 208, Darlington, MD 21034-0208. The Little League Field will be built upon the eventual grounds of the Harford Friends School in Harford County. Benjamin is survived by his mother, Christine; father, Jonathan; younger brother, Nathaniel; grandparents, Linda and Harrison Monk of Annapolis and Peter and Alaina Huxtable of Woburn, MA; his great-grandmother, Doris La Monica of Parkton; uncle David Huxtable of Sumerville, MA; uncle Gage and aunt Tammy Monk both of Parkton and many cousins, great aunts and uncles.
