Suspect sought: Christopher Porter, 17, has been charged in a warrant as an adult with first-degree murder and a handgun offense and was being sought by police yesterday. Porter, whose address was unavailable but is known to frequent the 200 block of N. Payson St., is charged in the May 15 shooting of Damon Aldridge, 22, in the 100 block of Diener Place. Anyone with information about Porter's whereabouts is asked to call Detective Kevin Buie of the Warrant Apprehension Task Force at 410-637-8970 or homicide Detective Bobby Patton at 410-396-2100.
Arrest: Rodney Hall, 18, of the 2400 block of Edmondson Ave. was arrested Tuesday by Warrant Apprehension Task Force members on charges of shooting and kidnapping Vance Dixon, 19, on April 20 in the 3200 block of Carlisle Ave.
Arrest: Murray Ray, 26, was arrested yesterday near his home in the 2300 block of Wilkens Ave. on a warrant charging him with attempted murder in the shooting Sunday of Andre Freeland, 27, in the 500 block of Sanford Place.
Arrest: Karl Thompson, 41, of the 2900 block of E. Monument St., who is charged in warrants with multiple sex offenses, surrendered to police Tuesday. Police say the crimes occurred over several years at various locations in the district.
Burglary: Someone entered Wild Bill's Kitchen in the 4200 block of York Road over the weekend and stole a floor fan, 30 bottles of soda, cough drops and candy.
Arrest: Antonio Rodriquez Lopes, 38, of Hyattsville was stopped by Officer John Frank of the Maryland Transportation Authority Police on a charge of speeding Tuesday on Interstate 895. Lopes told the officer he was driving from New York to Hyattsville to sell items at a flea market. Receiving permission to search the man's 1993 Ford van, Frank found 344 counterfeit Latin music compact discs. Lopes was arrested and charged with recording, possessing and transporting the illegal merchandize and held at the county detention center on $10,000 bail. The van was impounded.

Officer assaulted: Officer Richard Guerin reported he was assaulted in the basement of a home in the 8300 block of Bear Creek Drive by a resident he was attempting to arrest on charges of domestic assault. Arrested and charged with resisting arrest and assaulting an officer was Edward Clark, 62.
Burglary: Tools valued at $1,200 were stolen Tuesday from a shed in the 3600 block of Heathers Way.
Burglary: A .357 Magnum handgun valued at $450 was stolen Tuesday from an apartment in the 9900 block of Berliner Place.
