Capital Gazette wins special Pulitzer Prize citation for coverage of newsroom shooting that killed five



On June 11, 2005, HERMA M. REID, age 91, of Bel Air, Md, died at the Lorien Nursing Home in Bel Air, MD. Born July 15, 1913 in Washington, DC. She was the daughter of the late Jacob Lear and Mary Mc Gee and wife of the late John W. Reid. Mrs. Reid was preceded in death by her brother Preston Mc Gee, a grandson Robert A. Bramhall, and a granddaughter Kelly Groomes. She is survived by her daughters Gail Bramhall and husband Robert of Florida, Betty Reid of Bel Air and Judy Moody and husband Richard of Tennessee. Herma Reid is also survived by a granddaughter, Barbara Adams and two grandsons, Johb Bramhall and Ned Hall III, a sister-in-law Mary Sue Mc Gee and many great and great, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. A evening viewing will be held at the Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, Inc., 610 W. Mac Phail Rd., (at Rt 24) on June 13, 2005, from 6:30 to 9 P.M. Another viewing will be held from 10 to 10:45 A.M. at Christ Our King Presbyterian Church, 10 Lexington Road, Bel Air, on June 14 2005 with the service to be conducted at 11 A.M. She will be buried at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Suitland, MD.
