Reds update

These teams haven't played each other since the 1970 World Series, which the Orioles won in five games. They've never met in the regular season. This series features three players - Ken Griffey, Sammy Sosa and Rafael Palmeiro - with a combined 1,649 home runs and 4,835 RBIs. It's the first time in major league history that three players with 500 or more homers have appeared in the same game. Griffey has a 12-game hitting streak and Sean Casey was batting .439 in his past 16 games before going 2-for-4 in a 14-5 win over Tampa Bay last night. The Reds (24-35) rallied from five-run deficits in their last two victories before last night for only the third time in franchise history. They hit six home runs Wednesday. Former Oriole Eric Davis will be inducted into the Reds' Hall of Fame tomorrow.
