Player of The Year

Brian Carroll, Gilman

The junior was considered by many to be the best midfielder in the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association's A Conference. Carroll, whose twin brother, Kevin, was his midfield running mate, led the No. 6 Greyhounds with 26 goals and 17 assists and also scooped 30 ground balls.

Named one of the league's five high school All-Americans, Carroll had one of his biggest games in a 10-9 victory over top-ranked, previously unbeaten McDonogh, as he had two goals and two assists.

Coach of the Year

Rich Seiler, Friends

The Quakers finished with a school-best No. 8 ranking and went 12-8 - their best record since joining the MIAA Conference in 2000. Highlight wins were over league rivals St. Mary's, Severn and previously unbeaten public school power Fallston.

Seiler is leaving his position after seven seasons to coach middle school lacrosse at Friends.
