Player of the Year

Kim Griffin, North Harford

Griffin did all of the dirty work for the Hawks, winning 78 percent of the team's draws and leading it in ground balls.

Griffin, the school's all-time leader in ground balls, finished the season with 14 goals and 16 assists.

She's headed to James Madison next year, where she'll play defense.

Coach of the Year

Carl Greenberg, C.M. Wright

The defending Class 4A-3A state champs were hit hard by graduation and faced a daunting schedule this season, but under Greenberg's direction, they won their eighth straight county title.

The Mustangs now have a county winning streak of 60 consecutive games. Their most dramatic win was an overtime victory over North Harford, a contest in which the Mustangs struggled for long stretches but still prevailed.
