Player of the Year

Megan Bosica, Mt. Hebron

There wasn't anything Bosica couldn't do as she led the No. 1 Vikings to their ninth straight state title, an 11-5 win over Urbana in Class 3A-2A. Exceptionally versatile, she could score - hitting 66 percent of her shots - or she could wreak havoc on the defensive end.

The junior finished with 65 goals and 31 assists.

Coach of the Year

Ginger Kincaid, Glenelg

Kincaid has compiled a 173-97-1 record and won six straight regional titles during her 18 years at Glenelg, but a state title had eluded her - until this season.

The Gladiators (16-2) showed character in defeating defending state champion Century in the title game, 11-10, ending the Knights' 20-game winning streak. Glenelg led 11-4 with five minutes left and held off a furious rally.
