Player of the Year

Amber Falcone, Winters Mill

She led the Falcons in scoring (55 goals, 21 assists), draw controls, ground balls and several defensive categories. Falcone's efforts earned her one of 12 spots on the prestigious Regional High School All-Tewaaraton Team.

The senior was recruited and signed by the University of North Carolina as a midfielder, and also was heavily recruited as an attacker.

Coach of the Year

Rose Pentz, Century

After graduating a pair of first-team U.S. Lacrosse All-American midfielders in Kelly Kasper (Maryland) and Lauren Schwarzmann (Johns Hopkins), Pentz's team was given little chance of repeating its string of successes.

Relying mainly on last year's supporting cast, however, Century won 15 straight to advance to the Class 2A-1A state final. Pentz is 49-4 in her three years as coach.
