On Thursday June 2, 2005 RITA BEATRICE PETZA died peacefully at the age of 86. A woman of faith , her trust in God and his mercy touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. A graduate of St. Anthony's Catholic School, Seton High School, and the University of Baltimore, she was one of the first women to attend Loyola College where she received her Masters Degree. After many years in the business world, Rita pursued a career in Teaching and made a difference in the lives of hundreds of students in the Baltimore City Schools she served. Music, culture and travel defined the life she led in her healthy days. She was the daughter of Edward and Agnes Petza and was predeceased by her brothers Daniel and Edward. She is survived by her niece Janet Lamenzo and her husband David, their children and grandchildren. Her family wishes to thank the care givers at the Renaissance Gardens at Oak Crest Village in Parkville, for their years of dedication to the task at hand. Relatives and friends may gather at MILLER-DIPPEL FUNERAL HOME, INC, 6415 Belair Road on Friday, 4 to 8 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padu Church on Saturday, at 10:30 A.M. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the name of Rita to the Little Sisters of the Poor, 601 Maiden Choice Lane, Baltimore, MD 21228.
