Jim died peacefully on June 1, 2005 after a long illness. Jim, a long term resident of Cockeysville was born in Newark, NJ. He served aboard the USS Denver in the Pacific during World War II. Jim was a graduate of Panzer College in Montclair, NJ and worked many years for the YMCA. Jim also worked for various music stores in Baltimore County. He was a musician (Piano, Organ, Trombone & Harmonica) who loved Jazz and Big Band music. He is survived by his wife, Betty, and children, Carol Evans and her husband Dennis Hodges, Jay Evans and Michelle Pejokovich and her husband Mark. Jim Evans will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery on July 15, 2005 with military honors. Arrangements by Peaceful Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Center P.A.
