Drug arrest: Officer Jeremy Perkins of the Maryland Transportation Authority Police stopped the driver of a Florida-registered 1991 Dodge for a seat-belt violation on northbound Interstate 95 near the Keith Avenue ramp about 3 a.m. Wednesday. After interviewing the driver, Perkins summoned a drug-sniffing dog, which indicated the presence of drugs. Found in the car were nearly 4 ounces of marijuana and rolling papers with residue. Charged with possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and the seat-belt violation was Ali Kemal Akcicek, 32, of Tarpon Springs, Fla.
Burglary: A 22-year-old woman was moving from her apartment in the 3100 block of St. Paul St. on Tuesday when a man volunteered to help. But as she was placing articles into a vehicle, the man entered the apartment and stole her purse containing cash and a cell phone.
Robbery/arrest: A 39-year-old woman was robbed by a man with a knife who stole a pouch containing nearly $30 about 3 p.m. Wednesday in the 200 block of N. Eutaw St., near Lexington Market. Two market police officers arrested a suspect moments later and recovered the property. Charged with armed robbery, theft and possession of a deadly weapon was Sabastian Stevenson, 38, no fixed address.
Road rage/arrest: A male motorist pointed a gun at another male driver amid an argument on northbound Rolling Road near Tudsbury Road about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. Police were given the tag number of the man's car, found it on nearby Cheviot Court and arrested a suspect leaving a house several minutes later. Police obtained a search warrant and seized a .44 Magnum revolver in the house. Charged with first-degree assault with a deadly weapon was Dwight Jenkins, 36, of the 7300 block of Eden Brook Drive in Columbia.
