On May 29, 2005, MARY ALICE BEHRENS, 44, of New Freedom, PA. Born September 16, 1960 in Bristol, VA, she was the mother of Collin A. Monger and his fiance' Julisa of Albuquerque, NM, and Graeme S. Monger of New Freedom, PA; daughter of L. Edward "Ed" and M. Deloris "Dee" (Sluder) Behrens III; sister of Patty A. Grieb and her husband Rusty, Charlotte L. Dubel and her husband Larry, Ward Behrens and his wife Carol, all of Glen Rock, PA, Laurie B. Moore and her husband David, and Bonnie L. Behrens, both of Winter Spring, FL; grandmother of Leroy Varella, Bryce Monger and Brandon Monger. She is also survived by nieces and nephews. Mary was in the nursing profession for over 30 years and was currently a geriatric nurse for Future Care-Sandtown/Winchester, earning Nurse of the Year in 2004. She was a member and former choir member of Christ Lutheran Church, performed with the York Symphony Orchestra Choir, and was a United States Air Force veteran. Her funeral service will be 11 am Thursday, June 2 at Christ Lutheran Church, 105 S. Main St., Shrewsbury, PA. Viewing will be Wednesday from 6 to 9 pm at the J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 Second St., New Freedom, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a favorite children's charity in Mary's name.
