Baltimore City

Northeastern District

Homicide arrest: Antonio Davis, 23, of the first block of Coachman Court in Randallstown, was arrested Wednesday by members of the Warrant Apprehension Task Force on a charge of first-degree murder. Davis is charged in a warrant with first-degree murder in the shooting death of his brother, Tavon Lawson, 22, of the 5800 block of Hazelwood Circle. They had been watching TV in the bedroom of a house in the 2700 block of Tivoly Ave. Tuesday night when a gun Davis was handling discharged, sending a bullet into Lawson's head, police said. Davis fled, but visited his brother at Johns Hopkins Hospital moments before he died Wednesday afternoon. Upon leaving the room, Davis was arrested.

Northern District

Homicide arrest: Eric James Hill, 47, of the 3600 block of Rexmere Road, was arrested Wednesday at his home by members of the Warrant Apprehension Task Force on a warrant charging him with first-degree murder. He is accused in the death of James Corbett, 58, of the 3800 block of Frisby St., who was found stabbed and beaten in the 2000 block of Greenmount Ave. on July 30. Corbett died Jan. 26 at Joseph Richey Hospice.

Stabbing: A 17-year-old boy was attacked by an unknown male in the 2900 block of Greenmount Ave. about 11:50 p.m. Wednesday and stabbed in the chest. The victim was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Burglary: A combination DVD player/videocassette recorder valued at $119 was stolen Tuesday from a house in the 5200 block of Craig Ave.

Southeastern District

Drug arrests: After stopping a car for speeding in the 2900 block of E. Lombard St. about 10 p.m. Wednesday, Officer Scott Ripley detected an odor of marijuana in the vehicle and arrested the male driver and two male passengers. Ripley reported finding in the car a bag containing marijuana. The occupants - all juveniles - were taken to the Juvenile Detention Center on North Gay Street.

Robbery arrest: Jermaine Wilkes, 32, of the 2500 block of S. Paca St., was arrested yesterday in the 1800 block of Portal St. on a warrant charging him with attempted armed robbery of a woman in the 6600 block of Holabird Ave. on Jan. 10.

Theft: Several historic photographs of Baltimore were stolen Jan. 31 from a display at Broadway Overlook in the 100 block of N. Broadway. The photos are valued at $900.

Southern District

Theft: A 25-year-old woman was standing in line at a Department of Social Services office in the 1200 block of W. Pratt St. about 8 a.m. Wednesday when a man removed a cell phone valued at $100 from her jacket pocket.

Baltimore County

White Marsh Precinct

Burglary/arrest: A man entered a woman's apartment in the first block of Brook Farm Court by deception Wednesday and stole her purse containing cash and personal property. Later that day, police arrested Michael Ciganek, 29, also a resident of Brook Farm Court, and charged him with burglary. The woman's property was recovered.

Burglary: A 9-mm Smith & Wesson handgun valued at $500, with serial number TVU9764, was stolen from a house in the 5700 block of Whitby Road between June 1 and Wednesday.
