Luncheon honors longtime McDaniel employees

McDaniel College recently recognized 30 employees for their years of dedicated service during a seniority recognition luncheon.

The honored employees, each with at least 10 years of service, represent 525 years of working on the Hill. College President Joan Develin Coley hosted the luncheon.

Employees were presented with an engraved gift with their name, department and respective years of service.

The employees, their departments and the number of years they have served at McDaniel are:

40 years: Leona V. Shockey of Westminster, Hoover Library.

35 years: Boyd T. McClain of Union Bridge, building maintenance and repair; Ethan A. Seidel of Westminster, administration and finance.

25 years: Esther E. Griffith of Westminster, support services; Joyce D. Muller of Westminster, communications and marketing.

20 years: Gary E. Hill of Westminster, building maintenance and repair; Barbara J. Horneff of Westminster, academic affairs; Carole J. Klapper of Westminster, biology and chemistry department; Philip R. Sayre of Westminster, student affairs; Edgar S. Sell Jr. of Westminster, facilities planning and capital improvements.

15 years: Mitchell K. Alexander of Catonsville, college activities; Clement J. Ani of Westminster, financial services; Karen N. Arnie of Glenwood, career services; Juanita A. Feustel of Hampstead and Thomas G. Steback of Hanover, Pa., human resources; D. Bruce Hagan of Gettysburg, Pa., steam plant; Allen R. Herndon of Keymar, support services; Earl M.
