PELHAM, JR., WALTER C.

WALTER C. PELHAM, JR. was born December 30, 1918 in Los Angeles; passed away January 22, 2005 in Tacoma, WA at the age of 86. Walt (or Penny) served his country proudly for over 20 years in the Army and received the Bronze Star, Purple Heart and Combat Infantry Badge. He was a 65 year member of South Umpqua Lodge # 72 F&AM; in Canyonville, Oregon; a charter member of Peace Chapter #2 OES, Stuttgart Germany and served as PABG of Bethel #21 IOJD in Baltimore. Walt was preceded in death by his wife, Valda and his son Michael. He was the loving father of Pat Pelham of Baltimore; brother of Penny Scott of Oak Park, CA; grandfather of Michelle (Rusty) Morgan of OR and great-grandfather of Tyler and Melissa. He also had many relatives in Australia including: Sandra (Graeme) Wapling and Robyn Clemson; Lee Wapling; and Angela (Mark) Ward and Madison. The funeral ceremony will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church, Tacoma on Friday January 28, 2005. In lieu of flowers, memorials may go to the Col. Patrick S. Madigan, M.D. Foundation, P.O. Box 98215, Lakewood, WA 98497.
