John P. Roche, 45, moving contractor

John P. Roche, an independent moving contractor, died of heart failure Jan 12 at his Perry Hall home. He was 45.

Mr. Roche was born in Baltimore and raised in Rodgers Forge and Riderwood. He was a 1977 graduate of Towson High School.

For the past 27 years, Mr. Roche had been a moving contractor for Von Paris Moving & Storage in Timonium.

He enjoyed collecting model automobiles and fishing with family members.

He attended St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Texas, Baltimore County, where a Mass of Christian burial was offered Monday.

Mr. Roche is survived by his wife of 22 years, the former Leslie Ann Krager, a nurse technician; two daughters, Kristin Marie Roche and Julianne Lee Roche, both of Perry Hall; his mother, Patricia L. Roche of Mays Chapel; two brothers, J. Kemp Roche Jr. and Thomas C. Roche of Perry Hall; two sisters, Patricia A. Roche and Ruth R. Birkmaier of Perry Hall; and a granddaughter.
