On January 6, 2005 ROBERT H. LIPHARD, age 92, of Niceville, FL., formerly of Baltimore, MD and Naples, FL, passed away in Manor of Bluewater in Niceville, FL. He was born September 29, 1912 in Baltimore, MD, where he grew up. As a young man Robert played semi pro soccer and softball. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Robert worked as the head buyer of the floor covering department of Hochschild Kohn in Baltimore until his retirement. After retirement he enjoyed working in his yard and playing golf. Robert was married for 62 years to his wife Myrtle T. Smith Liphard. Robert is survived by his wife, Myrtle, of Alterra Sterling House in Niceville, by his son Bob Liphard and wife Wanda of Niceville, FL, by a daughter Sheryl Bond and husband Jack of Severna Park, MD. He leaves behind 4 grandchildren, Sean and Alicia Liphard and Eric and Sarah Bond, two sisters-in-law, nephew and nieces also survive him. At his wishes, his body will be cremated. A family memorial gathering will be held in Severna Park, MD at the home of his daughter, Sheryl Bond on Saturday, January 22, 2005. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Community Life Center of the First United Methodist Church in Niceville, FL or to Young Life, P.O. Box 2920, Colorado Springs, CO 80901-2920.
