Barney was outstanding in last week's Basketball Academy Tournament at Morgan State, where the 6-foot-2 junior swingman twice scored more than 30 points - more than half of his team's points in each game - to lead the Sabers to an 11-0 record with victories over Cardozo of Washington and then-No. 9 Randallstown.
In Thursday's 65-47 victory over Cardozo, Barney scored 37 points, including three three-pointers, and had 15 points in the third quarter.
In Saturday's 61-49 victory over Randallstown, Barney scored 16 of the Sabers' 20 third-quarter points on the way to a 31-point outing.

The junior hurdler posted the fastest time in the country this season by a high school girl for the 55-meter high hurdles, 8.02 seconds at last week's Montgomery Invitational.
This isn't Lewis' first hurdling record. She set a state Class 3A mark of 14.23 seconds in the 100-meter high hurdles in May's state outdoor track and field championships.
Over the summer, Lewis' time of 13.48 in the 100 hurdles won her a silver medal at the Amateur Athletic Union National Junior Olympics in Des Moines, Iowa.
Lewis, an All-Metro selection last year in indoor and outdoor track for the No. 1 Doves, won Baltimore City and regional titles in the 55-meter hurdles last indoor season and finished second in the state Class 4A-3A finals. She also won a city title last season in the 55-meter dash.
