MARCUS GEORGE STROVEL, JR., 63, of Martinsburg, WV, died Wednesday, December 29, 2004 at City Hospital. Born February 8, 1941 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Marcus G. Strovel, Sr. and Elizabeth Hofmann Strovel. Mr. Strovel was formerly a stockbroker, landscaping foreman and a 1974 Jeopardy contestant. He was a graduate of the Boys Latin School in Baltimore and attended Franklin and Marshall College. He is survived by two sons, Marcus G. Strovel, III, of Baltimore and Christopher W. Strovel of Martinsburg; two daughters Lisa R. Mayers of Severna Park, MD and Suzanne B. Lopez of Baltimore; seven grandchildren, Joshua R. and Samantha B. Lopez, Katelyn R., Ryan P. and Michael L. Mayers and Matthew S. and Emma E. Strovel. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Baltimore. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
