Arrest: Jason Sinclair of Ocean City was arrested Tuesday by members of the Warrant Apprehension Task Force on a charge of first-degree murder. Sinclair, 25, is charged with the shooting and beating death of Donald E. Ford, 29, of Brooklyn, whose body was found Oct. 31 in a refuse bin in the 2600 block of Light St. He was arrested at his girlfriend's Glen Burnie home.
Arrests: Officer Irvinette Barnes was patrolling on McKean Avenue about 5 p.m. Tuesday when she saw two men selling marijuana to a third. When Barnes approached, the customer fled. A search turned up marijuana and more than $400. Arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana were Ancil Holmes, 18, of the 800 block of Whitmore Ave. and Tyrone Rogers, 19, of the 1500 block of McKean.
Arrests: Officers Dexter White and Maurice Ward were patrolling in a cruiser in the 2800 block of Edmondson Ave. about 3 p.m. Tuesday when they spotted a Mercury van that had been reported stolen in Edmondson Village being driven by a youth. A brief pursuit ended in the 2400 block of Winchester St. when the van hit a building and at least two parked cars. Several red vials containing cocaine were found in the van. Four juveniles - girls ages 16 and 12, and two 15-year-old boys - were arrested.
Robbery: An 83-year-old man and his wife, 78, were about to enter their home in the 2700 block of Chesterfield Ave. about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday when they were assaulted by two men, one with an unknown metal object. The woman was robbed of her purse and her husband of a diamond ring. They were treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Theft: A television/DVD player, lambskin seat covers and stereo equipment - all valued at $3,425 - were stolen Tuesday from a 1995 Mercury in the 5000 block of Gunther Ave.
Burglary: A 37-inch TV, a DVD player, coins and clothing - all valued at $1,260 - were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 5900 block of The Alameda.
Bank robbery: Two men fled with an undisclosed sum from Chevy Chase Bank in the 1700 block of York Road about 11:30 a.m. Monday after one of them gave a holdup note to a teller.
Burglary: Computer equipment was stolen Tuesday from Prison Fellowship Ministries in the 7400 block of York Road.
Robbery: A gunman robbed Royal Farms in the 500 block of Edmondson Ave. of an undisclosed sum of money about 7 p.m. Tuesday.
